An evening of fun and fundraising for Haiti relief.
So, apparently Ryan and Yo made some amazing blueberry-rosemary jam last week. I was green with envy and so decided to try it out myself. This is totally their recipe y’all – I am fully admitting that up front.<!
Last night was one of the best and most rewarding meals I’ve ever made. Knowing that 50% of my ingredients came from a local farm made me so happy and this farm share has changed my life! I was never much of a cooker so this is a huge step for me!

A bit about my eating habits — I’m a vegetarian with strong vegan tendencies. My exeption to the vegan rule is the eggs from the CSA. The way I see it…if the chickens have names, they’re probably pretty happy…so the eggs are ‘happy eggs’. (more…)

Thanks to the long weekend, we had Monday off from work, and figured we could knock out our distribution shift. After setting up, we manned the egg and berry table for the evening. For those of you who got the berry and egg shares, we can admit to severe jealousy, as after sitting with the multi-colored eggs and gorgeous buckets of berries, our vegetable share seemed insufficient.
