Week #17 — Oct 4th [A week]

How much do we LOVE those MimoMex eggs! Check out the 3 giant ones found in the Oct 4th bounty. Talk about gorgeous. It was another rainy Monday moanday that saw us setting up inside the Woods. Despite this being a Summer of drought-like conditions, we have seen quite a ton of rainy Mondays. (Ah, the irony. Last year was wet and we had 1 rainy Monday, this year is dry and we have had 4…) Week 17 means that we are officially three quarters through the season and into the home stretch of the Harvest season. Good stuff!

MimoMex Veggie Share

Unfortunately we had a bit of a miscommunication with the farmers about the amount of the broccoli. The bad news is that the list said 1 head per share which was a mistake; it was 2 heads per share. The farmers left us a message on our phone which we didn’t receive correcting the mistake. The good news is that we donated all that extra gorgeous broccoli (about 2 crates worth) to the Southside Mission Food Pantry (along with all the other “leftovers”). Kinda amazing!
