Week #19 — Oct 18 [A week]

Weighing Potatoes....

Despite the slight Fall chill in the air, the night was gorgeous and we were able to hang in the fabulous Woods backyard for distribution. A few favorite Berry share friends stopped by (cuz they missed us!) and it was another great distribution filled with the swapping of Fall recipes and quick cooking tips, toasts, and laughs. Oh yeah, and outrageously gorgeous local produce!

Community!

The mood was chipper as we finished up the final planning for the group trip to the MimoMex Farm, chatted about Winter Share, and people gots dibs in on the Broken Stove Beer share.

As always, at the end of distribution, some volunteers picked out vegetables in order to make side dishes for the Wednesday Greenpoint Soup Kitchen meal & we loaded up all the rest of the produce to be donated to the Southside Mission Pantry. Thanks to everyone who donated their vegetables & fruit to the less fortunate in our community. Every little bunch of food makes a difference in the fight for food security in the neighborhood. Gracias a todo!
