
Two of our members who regularly host the Tasteful Supper Club organized a special fundraiser for the Greenpoint Soup Kitchen back in September, hosting a delicious and fun evening and raising some $$ for neighborhood food security!

Everyone left with full bellies, new friends and a drunken glow (courtesy of fabulous wine donated by Vine Wine).
The 5 course menu was:

Beet Pesto & Spicy Eggplant Dip with Pita Chips
Pimientos de Padron blistered in olive oil & topped with sea salt

Salad of thinly sliced radishes & fresh picked raspberries on a bed of romaine lettuce with a light vinaigrette

Roasted Acorn Squash & Cannellini Beans wrapped in a corn tortilla and topped with tomatillo-jalepeno sauce

The dinner ended up being held on the night of that fateful Brooklyn tornado (everyone arrived safely!). By the end of the night we had concocted a new cocktail and we all toasted to the tornado.
