During the dark days of Winter, the go-to comfort food coming out of our kitchen is curry. Thanks to our winter shares we are able to bust out some super flavorful, yummy winter curries.

When the street is covered in snow and the winds are howling pushing the temps down to polar levels, I find that a spicy curry is a great way to warm up the soul. Our fridge is always stocked with at least 3 tubs of Maesri curry pastes. They rock! One of the best tools to have if you like flavorful and fresh curries! We tend to stock up our curry pastes after a food adventure in Chinatown. I love Bangkok Center Grocery. The little store is tucked on a side street behind Columbus Park. I am constantly amazed how such a small storefront can contain so many key ingredients. Believe me if you are looking for a hard to find ingredient for your dish, this is the store where you will find it.

Having our freezer packed with our Winter Sun shares made rocking this curry out super easy. Peppers come diced perfectly, the corn is ready to go, leaving just a little of chopping of the green beans into bite-sized pieces. Thanks to our Northwind Farm Meat share, our fridge is also always stocked with yummy, homemade stocks. We used some of our Thanksgiving Edition Turkey Stock as a base in this curry.
In then end our curry was a spicy revelation of summer flavor and spicy heat. Quick and easy, it was a lovely comfort. Served over brown rice it was the perfect end to a cold Brooklyn day.
