MimoMex Vegetable Share
The Vegetable share starts Monday June 12th running through Monday Nov 20th. It is 24 weeks, running through the entire spectrum of the NY farming season from the late Spring greens & onions in June, to the tomatoes & eggplant in Summer, wrapping up with brussel sprouts & winter squash after Thanksgiving.
The vegetable share will include a good mix of NY state farm standards and lots of mexican specialties. Each week MimoMex farm brings us 8 to 12 items. Herbs and seasonal vegetables. Specialty herbs, like cilantro, lemongrass & epazote arrive along side New York seasonal favorites like swiss chard, kale, & collard greens. You are likely to receive onions, tomatillos, basil, squash, beets, lettuce, radishes, carrots, quelites, spinach, potatoes, tomatoes, sweet corn, winter squash, and many varieties of peppers. Quantity depends on harvest. Weather and storms, like Hurricane Irene, can cause drastic changes in the share size.
