Eggs – additional November shares

Quick heads up about the extra eggs. The farmers are going to have eggs available through the month of November (4 weeks) – yippee!

The eggs for our CSA are collected on the Saturday and Sunday – so they are literally a day or two fresh when we get them, perhaps that’s why the shells are so soft. They are so fresh in fact that they will last for at least one month out of the fridge. They are not given any antibiotics or hormones and they range free. Janet, the eldest daughter of Martin & Gaudencia, is the primary carer of the hens. She’s actually been at school more over the last few weeks rather than at the farm, which has ruffled the feathers of more than a couple of hens. They like continuity with their handlers and feeders (who knew?!)

The cost is $5 per dozen (which is one pick up) – so for a full share will be $20 and a half share will be $10. We have limited numbers – approximately 35 shares – so if you would like to do this, please shoot us an email and bring payment on Monday.

If you have friends that didn’t manage to get into the CSA this season and who would like to try a mini egg share, please simply add them to your share and I’ll add their names and emails onto your membership. It’ll help with our book keeping.

Let us know if you have any questions.

Cheers!
